Position – Senior Manager - Business Development - Location – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

We play an increasingly vital role in the region, advising leading private and public institutions in core sectors including real estate development, retail operations & development, healthcare operations & development, production and manufacturing operations & development, education operations & development and socio economic environment & future outlook. Our clients comprise of MNCs, governments & institutions, regional & international businesses, SME’s, and other consultant entities. We work with our clients to develop strategy and we typically provide informed market reports pursuant to feasibility, business planning and strategic market understanding.

 

The Opportunity

We are now seeking an individual possessing outstanding analytical skills and business acumen to fulfill the role of Senior Manager - Business Development / Client Relations for our office in KSA - Riyadh.

 

The Role

As a Senior Manager, you will be expected to possess a good understanding of market trends and issues, with distinctive areas of expertise in the real estate, retail, education, manufacturing and healthcare sectors. You will answer inquiries that require in-depth research, analytical approaches and client-ready facts and presentational material. You will act as a "thought partner" for teams, moving away from routine request work towards targeted business problem solving. You will engage in research based projects and be expected to make significant contributions to knowledge initiatives whilst serving a number of different client studies / projects at any particular point in time. Your primary job responsibilities fall into three core categories:

 

  1. Business Development – networking with business and government leaders / plan, co-ordinate and manage the commissioning of project assignments
  2. Client Management – Identify and communicate the client requirements and prepare     proposal offers and bids with a view to maintaining client relationships throughout engaged assignments and post completion / proactively resolve performance, scope, cost and schedule issues with the client as they arise / attend client workshops, meetings and presentations
  3. Project Operations – oversee and manage client assignments / contribute to the analytical interpretation and conclusion elements of client reports / perform due diligence on all client report documents

 

Candidate Requirements

Suitable candidates must have an established track record of creatively retrieving, analysing, and presenting complex industry and business information. The ideal candidates for this role will be entrepreneurial self-starters who enjoy the challenges and rewards of research work in a dynamic and changing environment. You must want to help shape and lead a well supported company whilst participating in one of the world's most exciting and prosperous areas. You should ideally be educated to postgraduate degree standard in business, economics or other related subjects and be fluent English language ability to a professional business standard (speak / read / write); Arabic language skills are considered a strong advantage.

  • Experience in managing multiple simultaneous demanding deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good understanding of / exposure to the public sector / semi-government organisations in

the Gulf

  • Professional attitude and service orientation; superb team player
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic financial analysis packages

 

 

 

Education

An advanced degree from a respected institution in business management / economics / political science together with demonstrated analytical ability and advanced work in a business-related discipline.

 

Previous experience

Suitable candidates must be able to demonstrate a minimum 10 years of relevant business or industry experience with a credible firm(s) together with a clear understanding of market research methodologies. Client Management – identify and communicate the client requirements and prepare proposal offers and bids with a view to maintaining client relationships throughout engaged assignments and post completion / proactively resolve performance, scope, cost and schedule issues with the client as they arise / attend client workshops, meetings and presentations
  4. Project Operations – oversee and manage client assignments / contribute to the analytical interpretation and conclusion elements of client reports / perform due diligence on all client report documents
